As my new Asus laptop didn't have a DVD drive, I bought this unit as it was the same brand of my laptop and the price was very attractive.

I had ordered 2 other
I had ordered 2 other products that I thought would read my Dvd's without success. Thus I was very pleased since this product did what I hoped for. The direction DVD didn't give very much info. It didn't tell how to connect but luckily I knew.

This works great however there is no stand included nor do I find a way to order a stand.

Very Flimsy but easy to use
I bought a new computer without a cd/dvd reader and writer so I needed to purchase an external device. This does the job at a fair price but it is very flimsy. I feel that I could easily break it. Also the pictured stand does NOT come in the box. Apparently it is optional but you don't find this out until you get the device and read the literature.
