Hi Winston, Unfortunately this product will not work with your Crucial SSD because that drive uses a PCI-express interface. Our enclosure only works with SATA, m.2 drives. If your computer has a Thunderbolt 3 interface, you may use our BNDTB4M2E1 to access your drive. While it is more costly, it will also out-perform a USB 3.0 enclosure by a wide margin. We have also emailed you directly with this information.

Thank you for your feedback on SM2NGFFMBU33. We're sorry it didn't work with your M.2 SSD! This enclosure is compatible with SATA-based, B-Key M.2 SSDs, and it appears that the Samsung 960 Evo M.2 SSD is a PCIe-based, M-key M.2 drive. Unfortunately, these are not compatible with one another.

SATA 2280 m.2 drives can be used it may just require moving the mounting screw and standoff back to the furthest mounting point. Hi, Thanks for sharing your review of our SM2NGFFMBU33. We apologize for the issue you've experienced, and we want to help. The Dell XPS 13 uses a PCIe-based NVME M.2 drive. The SM2NGFFMBU33 will only fit and work with SATA-based AHCI M.2 drives, which is the reason your drive would not fit into the enclosure. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Hello, The Samsung Evo 960 M.2 SSD is based on PCIe technology. Unfortunately, the SM2NGFFBU33 enclosure is only compatible with SATA based M.2 drives, in multiple drive heights including 2242, 2260, and 2280.
