I use it in the office. Needed one to round out what we had and ordered this with some other supplies that were coming the next day for convenience. Turns out, for the same price, I was able to buy an expandable power strip on sale at the local club store which had, admittedly, a shorter cord. The 6' cord length on this is a nice feature to have, but the strip itself is nothing special - standard protection for not very expensive electronics.

I have not had this challenged by a surge and am not likely to (I have whole-building surge protection), but it is easy to plug and unplug cords, and the price was good relative to more famous brands.

I purchases 9 power strips and one blew up when i plugged in a lamp. It blew a fuse and a machine and a PC were shut down in the process and nothing was saved.
