The StarTech USB stereo audio adapter allows you to add an S/PDIF digital audio output and standard 3.5 mm analog audio/microphone connections to your system through USB offering an easy way to overcome or change your internal sound card without having to go through the tiresome process of opening your computer case. This Startech.com external sound card also features the USB DAC (digital-to-analog converter) which offers 96 KHz/24-bit sampling rates for both playback and recording, and its 3.5 mm S/PDIF port with support for Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound makes home-theater quality sound possible. These 5.1 external sound cards weigh 1.3 oz. and has a warranty of 2 years.
