Poor quality pencils
The Ticonderoga pencils were always top notch. I tried to sharpen them and they were off-center between the wood and the graphite. I couldnl't even use them. I am returning them today.

These pencils are a step above #2. The leads seem to last longer and are stronger.

Pencil hardness
A bit softer than the #2.5 pencils I have now but a bit better than the standard #2’s I’ve been using. I might have to try the #3’s the next go round.

Quality sharpened pencils
I originally bought this small box as pictured that are not sharpened. My daughter-in-law told me I bought the wrong ones I was to get the Ticonderoga sharpened ones. I went back and got the larger box of Ticonderoga sharpened pencils to share between my two grandsons. Good quality
These pencils do exactly what they are supposed to do. My only other comment is how useful is an evaluation of pencils? I've purchased a laptop and was not asked to evaluate it. Yet I have been asked to evaluate pencils paper clips and staples. Some things either work or don't. There really isn't any in between.
