My favorite pencil for twenty years.
I was introduced to these pencils when I taught Reading Recovery. They are the perfect thickness to take concise notes and for a mechanical pencil the lead doesn't break off like other brands. It's great to buy them in bulk!

So disappointed
We have been purchasing these pencils for the office for almost 20 years; however, they have recently gone way downhill. They now feel cheap and the new lead is awful and is way too light. I'm sad to say we won't be purchasing these again unless we can find stock of the old version.

PRODUCT CHANGE!
Manufacturer completely changed product. Its now a lighter shade of lead and brakes so easily. I will be returning and changing what pencils we use in office. DO NOT BUY!

What Happened?
I've been using Paper Mate pencils for years. My most recent purchase was a complete disappointment. What happened to the quality? These appear to be cheap knockoffs.

Lower Quality
These pencils have always been preferred at our office, but this latest box seems to be a cheap knock-off version. The color is off, the erasers seem cheap, and they do not write as smooth. Hopefully these are just a bad batch and Paper Mate will go back to the previous high-quality style pencils.

They’ve changed!
This has been my IT pencil for years. Unfortunately they’ve recently change a lot and not for the best. They feel and look cheap, the lead is new but horrible, buy a box of 30 and only 10 pencils will work. The led wont come out when twisting and if they do, they go right back in when when writing.
