Great to store those documents YOU want to organize and find easily.
Have many documents on server and some folks just plop them willy nilly so I make my own copies and organize them on the Seagate. Then try to nudge folks into a coherent organization of their docs on the server. And to get them to put copies where they belong and not hoard on their computer. Only hoard if a singular non group effort of work.

Quick delivery. Nice hard drive.
I decided to create offsite backup of all our home computers. This 4tb drive is perfect for this. It connects and works without external power supply. Its not fast but usb3 connection allows it to transfer bit faster than prior generation. I'm not sure how its long term reliability going to be but for typical backups DVDs are no longer valid option. I wish warranty was ...

First one Arrived Dead on Arrival... Second one appears to be working
So it a bit worrying that the first one arrived dead on arrival. I will only be using this to carry data around with me not as a back up but just portability. But so far USB 3 speeds and copying over my older 2tb drive appear to be working just fine.

Portable Hard Drive
It's difficult to review a product that I've only used for three days. Seems to be working fine. Erasing it using Time Machine gave me an error. I had to use Disk Utilities on the Mac to format the drive.

Fast and Affordable
I was in need of an upgrade backup drive for my current 2GB. Staples has them on sale so I bought it. I have never bought a Seagate brand before so I cannot relate on experience if this is a good drive. The transfer rate is fast (using USB 3.0).
