TERRIBLE PADS : these expensive pads are NOT legible to read documents underneath. NOR is this pad smooth to write on top of. If these could be returned we would. please view other pads

anti-slip?
one side is textured and a smooth side. Moves less with the smooth side down but make is harder to write on the textured side. The material is thick does not bend too much (you can't roll it up).

Very well made. Durable. Looks good. Lays flat. Was shipped flat not rolled. Was difficult for us to find a pad of these dimensions - working out well for us. Definitly recommend.
