Too Big and Backup Instructions Not Clear
I love WD drives but I thought I was ordering a smaller one than this. This one requires it's own power source.
I just want to backup my photos and videos and have additions backed up when I add to my main drive but I can't find a set of current, clear instructions (or videos) using the software on the hard drive.

Very very noisy
I have hearing loss, and wear headphones when I am at my computer desk, so the volume I have, to listen to content doesn't distract others unduly.
This hard drive is about 4 feet from my head and is still distractingly noisy through all of that.

WD I trust
I have a few of these. They have lasted me over 5 yrs so far. I trust the brand. Only had one issue with one of them the power plug died. I took it apart and plugged the insides onto a dock. Works great

A good place for your STUFF
I actually have several of these drives and they behave well under constant use. Western Digital has been my go-to storage solution for over a decade and they keep rewarding my loyalty with reliable drives. I have some pushing 15 years old (not critical storage, of course) that are still plugging along. Well built and hardy stuff.

Good deal but need it to be USB powered
