Plug and Play
Just plug it into a USB port and go...
It isn't worth installing the software they provide, it just adds complexity to a simple situation. Plug it in and it shows up in Windows Explorer...that's all folks!

Not compatible
Our IT guy couldn't get this formatted for PC, seemed to be pre-formatted for only Mac.

Hard Drive Backup for New OS
I put the new external hard drive to work backing up my computer hard drive before changing the operating system from Mac OS X 10.14.6 Mojave to 10.15.7 Catalina. Seems to be a Fine Back UP Disc
I have had 3 computer back up discs. Each one has malfunctioned and the last one, it is hard to say. All of a sudden a message on my computer said there was ns such disc although it had been backing up daily. perfect size back up for my laptop
This was the perfect size back up for my laptop. While I use cloud storage, I also like to have a hard copy of my drives. I thought my previous dive had gone bad, so I purchased a new one. Easy plug-n-play, with no software to install.

Seagate or Windows programming sunk this one!
Drive is okay, but the programming for saving information does not work with Windows 10 like previous Seagate programs for Windows 7, forcing saving to be done with either copy and past or drag and drop! The latter being tedious and subject to errors.

Simple backup
I use this drive to backup my accounting program backups. I save the backups to the mirror folder and it does the rest. It's just like using OneDrive or Dropbox except it's physically located on your network instead of a web server.
