Stopped working with no way to get date out!!
I trusted the positive feedback on this item and bought it, what a mistake!; I have all my tax data and everything important on it and now its not coming up any more; only worked for 4-5 months. Sadly, more reputable brands like Sony don't make these sort of things and you end up using 2nd rank companies for things that MUST not go dysfunctional.

lasted 2 years and corrupted.
My older Seagate external hard drives are way more reliable. They are all still running. This is the newest drive I bought 2 years ago. The drive is corrupted and not readable or mountable anymore.

Seagate One Touch Slim Portable HDD
Have had a number of external hard drive brands over the years but this Seagate is the best and easiest to use to date. Works seamlessly with MAC Time Machine and quickly on first backup. Support on formatting if needed from Seagate on youtube. Highly recommend.

Good Things Comes in Small Package.
I was so sock when the 1TB seagate Ex HD came. It was so tiny 1/3 of the size I thought. I only use it as a storage nothing else. So I don't foresee any issues.

Backup limitations
I wanted to perform a complete backup of my laptop hard drive including windows ( create a mirror image) but it does not do that which is disappointing. IT DIDN'T WORK OUT AS OR I DON'T KNOW HOW TO YET..
But it's excellent and easy to utilize regardless. I have a Sony Blu Ray that said it could read one as long as it's 2 terabytes or less.. unfortunately that is not working out to be true. They suggest that you use a Sony... go ahead get online and find a new one no one else has ever touched let alone at this price.. I already have another Seagate that it does recognize...
