Seagate’s SSD Portable backup hard drive.
For anybody looking for a simple to use portable backup device for their desk top or laptop pc this is a great product. Simple to use and works with either Microsoft or Apple IOS.
Operates in the background with very little power draw and backs up your entire system every hour, automatically.

Watch Out for Compatibility
I have a very old computer (10+ years), and decided to buy a new one. I needed to transfer all the data from old computer to new, so I bought the LaCie to use to down load old data. The LaCie Rugged USB-C does not seem compatible with old computer because of connections. Have not resolved yet, but watch out.

Great item.
This is one of the better HDD that I have and I have many. I have the 2TB, 4TB, and the 5TB unit. All of them are great. I also have two SSD of 1TB each.

So far so good
For far it works as expected. It had the needed speed and memory and the price was ok, although there was very little to compare it to. Hopefully it's longevity and reliability will be good as well. To soon by a few years to tell.

A thousand photos
I needed to download and store about five hundred photos. The LaCie 2 tb external hard drive was equal to the task of storing each one twice. I’m grateful that all my cats’ fine moments are safely preserved.

Do your research
Too slow to do a backup overnight. Compressed directory image of about 1Gb. I should have ordered online, but not from Staples. Store did not have an ssd external drive compatible with mac in stock.
