Item totally unsatisfactory. Lead breaks too easily and - if it doesn't break it falls back inside. It may have been a good product in the past but no more.

The older darker almost orange pencils I loved. The newer lighter color yellow has a terrible lead quality! I won’t buy them. They are frustrating because the lead is so light you can hardly read it. Simple yellow mechanical pencils

Pencil Sharpener Not Needed!
Good #2 pencils that don't need sharpening! Just a little twist near the point to move the graphite out or back in. I've been using them for years. I used to be able to buy a box of a dozen of these pencils at a time but currently they seem to be available at Staples only as a single pencil or in package of 5.

Best Automatic pencil
Have used these for over two decades both professionally and personally. Yellow color makes them easy to identify they write well and have enough of a built-in eraser to last the life of the pencil.

Hard to believe but a difficult item to find anywhere except Staples. I've looked! Pricey maybe but I have nothing to compare it with and it is the item I wanted and my go-to pencil. ( a first world problem for sure) Associate at check-out was helpful and friendly and told me about the Staples app.

Manufacturer completely changed product. Its now a lighter shade of lead and brakes so easily. I will be returning and changing what pencils we use in office. DO NOT BUY!

What Happened?
I've been using Paper Mate pencils for years. My most recent purchase was a complete disappointment. What happened to the quality? These appear to be cheap knockoffs.
