Easy to use.
I have been using Seagate expansion drives for many years. First with a PC, now with an iMAC. The seagate external drives are dependable at all times. It is compatible with PCs and MAC plus others on sale.

Nothing but problems
I was hoping this would be useable as a backup drive for my other external drives. So far it's ok but it REGULARLY and CONSTANTLY has to be repaired. Three times now I've had to repair the drive and I've only had it 3 months. Very disappointed since the price was below. Well I guess now I know why it is.

If using a pc run a quick format before using to convert to ntfs. The drive will then store data much faster

Works well with one caveat
I got this to replace a 1GB hard drive that was at capacity. It works fine and is plug-and-play. My one complaint is that with it plugged in my desktop computer won't boot up. Where I use the drive for back and Photoshop scratch disc I just leave it unplugged until I need it a minor inconvenience at best.

Very portable and works well!
The 5TB Seagate Expansion portable is perfect for all my important files! It works great with my computer, is easy to use and I love the physical size of it...it allows me to be able to take it on the go and ensure I always have access to what I need! The memory size is great too!

Very Easy
I am a pack rat when it comes to photos and files on my laptop. I have such a hard time deleting anything. I was looking at a couple external hard drives and found that Seagate was the next best thing. It works well with my windows system and its ready right out of the box! I am not sure how it works with mac but it would probably just take a bit of reformatting to work...

Recommended for Ease of Use
With external hard drives, the key issues for a basic user like me are: will it work right away without any hassle, and how fast will it copy files? And then you can think about things like how rugged it is, or how cool it looks.

Super simple set up
This was super simple for me to set up. I've never used an external hard drive before, only flash drives, and didn't quite know what to expect. The set up was straight forward. Works on PS5
Bought this to store all the PS4 games on my PS5. I’ve had it for a couple weeks and so far, so good -no issues. The PS4 games play like they should and I can save the internal SSD storage for the PS5 games.
There is no need for external power. Just plugged it into the PS5, it recognized the drive right away, did the PlayStation reformat, and it was ready to go.

A must have!
This is very easy to hook up. After plugging into your computer, go to your File Explorer, under the Your PC section you'll see your external hard drive and in there you'll see a file to open up to register and find out how to use. Very fast and simple, I have great peace of mind knowing my files are secure. I definitely recommend.

A lot of storage
A lot of storage, but can be slow loading, and got a bit hot loading. I like that it’s portable - we travel for work and don’t want to have to bog down our laptops with extra files, so this is great to use until we get home to load into our desktop. Does what an expansion drive is supposed to.

Amazing storage!
I absolutely love this Seagate Expansion portable storage! I have saved all of my photos, videos and numerous movies to it and I am still not sure I could use all the space it provides! It is super easy to use and a must try for those looking to back up all of their photos, videos, music and movies!

Great portable expansion pack!
My son absolutely loves this portable expansion pack. It has plenty of room for storage. It works really well. We have not had any issues and he can even use it with his game console. It is made very well and has tons of storage space. It is perfect for work,, school,, or gaming. I would most definitely recommend this product to others!
