A lot for a liitle
This is a massive amount of storage space that isn’t as large in size as the tower storage of just a few years ago and yet holds so much more than the smaller external drives were were looking at. Love it
With over 10k photos on my iPhone and laptop I needed a large hard drive to save them all, being able to catalogue the pics the way I wanted to and still have space for the next few years to add more pics towards, this drive was for me! Worked great!

Not what I was looking for
Went to Staples to get a 2T external hard drive but since the shelves are all empty boxes and everything is locked up, this was all they had. Way too much storage for what I need. Can't we have actual inventory on the shelf anymore??? Should've ordered online but then why do we have stores?

It was no good - the transfer rate was very low (<10MB/S) so I returned it.

Great device, lacks package info
The store clerk & I looked all over the package for cable required details. My new Mac has USB-C ports. Inside you learn you need a Micro-B to USB-C cable. Other than that this is a great device. I’m just using it for backups, but the hub allows more capability if you need it.

Seagate One Touch Hub 8TB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive
I like this device. It was easy to set up since I have windows. My only concern is that it seems slower in transferring data from my laptop to the 8TB than the 2TB device I bought a few months ago. But, it seems to be working ok overall.

Nice… but…
Lots of tech for PC users, however Mac users like me must reformat the drive to use Time Machine. This erases the nice tech and leaves only the drive…. The drive itself is great and it’s nice to have 8 gigs of capacity.

Hard to say. It flashed that it needed to be formatted, then disappeared, never to be seen again. I simply could not find the drive in file explorer, with my old or with my new ThinkPad. Was it fried in USB-C?

Works as advertised.
So far anyway. This is my 4th one. I outgrew one as a backup and needed a bigger one. Got this one because another decided to be read only for some unknown reason. Took 3 days to rescue, erase, and reformat the problem child to get it back in service. Otherwise, they have been reliable and work well as backup drives.

Failed on first attempt
After failing right at the first, I called Seagate. Rep tried to trouble shoot, but stated he felt like the unit was simply inoperable. Returned it to Staples--who were very polite. I contacted Apple and they recommend the "G Drive." I've had Seagate drives before, but this was the first large drive. The G Drive replacement is a 12 TB drive and works fine.
