Not for Hotels or Dorms
We purchased this specifically for use in a hotel room while we travel. Because the current hotel (a Marriott) does not require a password for logging into their network, this particular Roku does not work. There is supposed to be some sort of upgrade that can be done online that will make it compatible, but because we are currently at that hotel and are using their ...

Missing Too Many Key Features
I was disappointed in this unit. You can’t turn it on and off. It also doesn’t have volume control and that is definitely means you have to use 2 remotes to operate the tv.
Definitely purchase an upgraded Roku. This unit is a real disappointment.

Quick add-on tvat a great price
This is my third Roku device. Wanted to set up an older flat-screen in my home office. Bought the basic rig for $24.99, had it up and running and registered with my Roku account in 15 minutes. And I'm no techie. Love Roku!

I was able to follow the directions in the box and turn my flat screen but "dumb" tv into a smart one, which has allowed me to cut the cable.
