Useless tape
This tape is not user friendly! First no instructions on how to use it. Come to the website read reviews figure out how to use it and then when I pull off the beginning strip the tape splits. Well once it split there is no way to get an end to start again! Boo to 3m for a useless but expensive product!

Double sided tape splits
I use this double sided tape to mount photos and have multiple dispensers since I use it a lot. However, recently, while using this tape, the very beginning of the roll, the tape splits and I end up unable to restart the roll. I tried several different times trying to free up an end to start using these rolls again. Very disappointing.

Meh purchase
Can't get the frickin' backing off! Then read reviews and learned the little tab at the begining piece that I cut off i needed to leave... well I guessi wasted money on this! Grrrrrrr!

Poor design to have instructions in wrong language
Was ready to return it because we couldn’t figure out how to use it. Looked it up online to see if I was missing something, and it said “no liner”. We were trying to remove something to make it sticky on top. It would have helped if the writing on the tape was in ENGLISH!! Had to unroll several inches before English showed up to indicate it wasn’t a 2-layer product like...

Wish it worked better
I have begun to use this product, replacing another which is not readily available. I wish I could give it a good review, but the product is inconsistent, there is lots of waste and it is expensive. Definitely not permanent
Permanent, temporary, or both? Actually neither! It should say that it doesn't stick to painted surfaces. I was attempting to hang paper posters on my wall. It refused to stick to the wall. Unfortunately it comes in a 3 pack. So I waisted 3 rolls instead of just one.

Great! once you get past the first few inches
Pull the roll past the black writing on the tape then you're golden. All of the reviews complain that it was a struggle at first, so pull the tape out a few inches until the black writing is gone - the welcome to sticky city.

Tape splits
I buy in bulk and on every dispenser the tape has split, very difficult to find the end. Frustrating. I never had a problem with it in the past. Something must have changed.

Not very strong
Tried to use this to mount photos to a poster board. The photos began popping off after about an hour. Also tried to use it to attach a small object to a refrigerator and after a few minutes the object fell to the floor. Not certain what it can be used for, but it didn't work for me. Other scotch products have worked in the past so I was surprised at this one.

Save yourself from the frustration
I purchased item today at hobby lobby and extremely dissapointed. I cant get the protective film off. I was going to use it in a major project. I thought it will help me do my project easier. Well, spent more time trying different ways to figure out how to remove protective film, and getting frustrated.

Must pull out 8 inches before you can use it.
I would have given up on this product until I found the review that said you have to pull it out 8 inches before it is double sided. I don't know why Scotch doesn't write that on the protective strip?

Bad directions , good product after much frustrati
The directions are sadly lacking I had to google to find out 8 inches had to be removed to get to the double side I spent too much time trying to figure it out . A friend gave me some Alien tape.... worked but was really too thick. Once I got proper directions it worked well. Put better directions on packaging.

Terrible product
I bought this to put up posters slightly smaller than legal paper. Used at least 7 2-inch size pieces on each poster. The posters keep falling off of the wall.
