My go-to pencil for years and years
I've used these pencils for YEARS. They are comfortable, easy to advance the lead with the side click, and easy to refill. No other lead pencils are comparable in performance.

Don't be fooled by the clicker!
The idea of the clicker to bring down the lead is a good one, but the mechanism breaks too easily and then the pencil is no good. For $7 and change, this is a terrible product!! It only lasts a month or two. Don't buy it!

Bad purchase
My two pencils arrived promptly after my in-store purchase, packed in a box the size of a microwave. This is ridiculous, irresponsible and a waste of resources. A padded envelope…or even just having the item available in-store would be better for STAPLES’ bottom line, not offend the customer, and lower STAPLES’ carbon footprint. Lazy management.

Pentel .7 pencil
Although a cheaper version of the original pentel pencil, so far it is working fine, but I have only had it for a week. Time will tell if it is good as the original version.

Great product
I've been using these pencils for years. Thus the reason I just bought 4 more. Also, I was out of lead of the size they use, so I bought a package of those as well.
I've had problems with the rubber grip deteriorating. I think it might be due to oil on my fingers from eating potato chips.

Love these pencils
I had 2 of this style for many years (10?) and the tip of my last one finally broke from being dropped one too many times ;-). I have an inventory of lead and erasers, so I am so glad you still make this style. But most especially, I love the side advance for the lead.

Pencils have been 5 star for 2 decades.
The wasteful shipping was ridiculous. I ordered 2 packs of two pencils that could have been shipped in a small manila envelope, but arrived in 2 separate 12 x 9 x 4 in boxes.

I love my Pentel pencils
