Please ensure that the poles are twisted together until they lock into place, as this can sometimes require a firm push. Additionally, if your Swiffer WetJet is brand new, it may need priming. You can do this by holding the button on the handle for several seconds until spray comes out of the nozzles. If the nozzles are clogged, gently brushing them may help restore functionality. Since you mentioned that you have already changed the batteries, please double-check that they are inserted correctly and that the battery door is closed until it clicks. Hello Jill. Thank you so much for reaching out regarding this situation with your PowerMop pads. Here are a few things to check: 1. Make sure you're using the correct pads for your PowerMop, only Swiffer brand PowerMop pads will fit properly. 2. Check if the bottom of the mop head is dirty. A clean mop head helps the pads attach better. 3. Try this method: Spray solution, place the pad on the mop head, and pass the pad through the solution. The friction will help it stick! We know how important it is for your Swiffer WetJet cloths to stick to your WetJet, and want to help, Stacy. If the pad doesn’t stick, the fastening strip may need to be cleaned. You can clean the fastening strip using tape, like masking tape or double-sided tape using the sticky side against the strip to remove debris. If you get the pad wet with WetJet solution, it will stick to the bottom of the mop. Place the pad on the bottom of the mop, spray solution on the floor let the pad absorb some of the solution and the pad should stick. There is no need to remove any part of the cloth when attaching to your WetJet. So we can help further, please call us at (800) 742-9220.

We're sorry to read about your recent experience with Swiffer WetJet. We expect our products to work perfectly for a long time, as they're closely monitored during the manufacturing process to ensure top quality Swiffering performance. If you haven't tried this already, wipe the sprayer nozzles with a damp cloth to make sure they're not clogged. Your WetJet also might need priming. Hold the button on the handle for several seconds until spray comes out of the nozzles (hopefully!). You may need to squeeze the solution bottle gently while pressing the spraying button.
