Lead breaks too easily
This used to be my favorite pencil but they've changed something the lead just breaks constantly.

Love Love this Pencil
Very comfortable to write with. Use it everyday for work. My lead doesn't break and it doesn't fall out like other claim. The Grip is the best grip I have ever used. Extra soft ribbed grip and it doesn't get tacky as it gets older. Easy refill for the eraser. Eraser is wonderful it actually erases it doesn't smear like other. I hope they never stop making this.

Precision Writing Instrument
It's my favorite writing tool. I usually use .5mm fine tip pens exclusively. Once I tried this pencil I was reminded why I once loved them so much in school. It is smooth and sturdy. As with any mechanical pencil you can't be heavy handed or the lead will break but once I adjusted the amount of pressure I use it flows onto the paper with ease.

Terrible! the lead keeps breaking every few strokes - don't know if it's the lead itself or the pencil

Not good quality.....
The lead always breaks. We tried new lead and realized it was the pencil not the lead.

The Pentel Icy Automatic Pencils use to be good but now the lead constantly breaks and falls out. I was dissatisfied with the last box I had but decided to try them again since the other brands did not measure up to what the Pentels were in the past. This time I am totally done with them. They are not worth buying.

Don't love this one!
I write a lot and have always used pentel pencils I would love to have the old pencils back this new one has no capacity for holding lead!! I understand why the kids at school are always struggling with refilling their pencils how annoying it is that it WON'T HOLD MUCH LEAD~

Writing tools are person specific
A writing tool may be comfortable for one person and less so for another. Hand size matters some prefer flat surfaces along the length of the pen others prefer a round surface. Weight also matters as does circumference. What is right for one may not be so for another. I happen to like this pencil.
