Pink eraser fits on the end!
The best part is that your standard pink pencil eraser fits on the end so I don't have to worry about replacing the tiny built in-eraser. The pencil is very durable; I always lose it before it ever breaks. I also like that the pocket clip is removable for an extra slim design.

not a good substitute for the Pentel Forte A55
I wanted to buy a Pentel Forte A55, but it appears to be out of production. I bought the Sharplet-2 hoping that it’d be an acceptable substitute. It does have a slim no-frills profile and use 0.5 mm lead sticks like the Forte A55 - two characteristics that I demand in a mechanical pencil. amazing pencil
i recommend the pentel-2 sharplet series to anyone who prefers skinnier mechanical pencils over thicc ones, it's just easier for my hand to write better with it lol, i love it thank u

Used this pencil my whole writing life!
I have been using the Sharplet-2 since elementary school in the early 1980's. I still have my original violet colored pencil, and I keep it safe, since they are hard to find and it is my absolute favorite.
The violet version is just lovely, almost a periwinkle kind of lavender. I would LOVE to see the original colors sold here (using the 0.5mm lead).

Loved it for years!
I've used this auto pencil for years...years! The balance is perfect. It's not too thin nor too fat. It's not very flashy. I like it!
For a cheap little pen it has a great feel, writes well and is very lightweight! I am an engineer and this is my preferred mechanical pencil over many others (even those that cost way more)!
