Favorite even though plastic
I did not expect to like this as much as I do. I'm a mechanical pencil snob. I love the LIGHT WEIGHT feel and EASY-TO-GRIP narrow barrel. Highly recommend.

Pink eraser fits on the end!
The best part is that your standard pink pencil eraser fits on the end so I don't have to worry about replacing the tiny built in-eraser. The pencil is very durable; I always lose it before it ever breaks. I also like that the pocket clip is removable for an extra slim design.

not a good substitute for the Pentel Forte A55
I wanted to buy a Pentel Forte A55 but it appears to be out of production. I bought the Sharplet-2 hoping that it’d be an acceptable substitute. amazing pencil

Used this pencil my whole writing life!
I have been using the Sharplet-2 since elementary school in the early 1980's. I still have my original violet colored pencil and I keep it safe since they are hard to find and it is my absolute favorite. The violet version is just lovely almost a periwinkle kind of lavender. Such a comfortable pencil to write with!
It may be on the cheap side of the Pentel scale but the grip on the graphite is very tight and the weight and balance of the pencil is so perfect that I love writing with this pencil for long writing sessions. I carry this pencil every day since I got it a few months ago. A solid writing tool that is better balanced than many of he other mechanical pencils I own.

This is the only pencil (regular or mechanical) my boss will use. We have to keep some stashed around the office for her use at various desks. We wish the colored (red) lead came in smaller packs though she would like to try it.

Pentel Sharplet-2 Mechanical Pencils Bold Point .9 mm Brown
I tend to push down too hard and break lead so I ordered these with thicker lead and they worked great. So far I haven't broke one piece of lead

Loved it for years!
I've used this auto pencil for years...years! The balance is perfect. It's not too thin nor too fat. It's not very flashy. No neon colors; no finger cushions; no strange shapes it's just a very well made auto pencil in a simple black dress. The only problem is it's not stocked in stores. You have to order. A Good Write
It is very comfortable and writes both fine and heavier lines. The clip is wonderful. I can put it easily into my shirt pocket and take it out easily-the clip holds it snuggly in place. All in all it is a five in my book.
