Used this pencil my whole writing life!
I have been using the Sharplet-2 since elementary school in the early 1980's. I still have my original violet colored pencil, and I keep it safe, since they are hard to find and it is my absolute favorite.
The violet version is just lovely, almost a periwinkle kind of lavender. I would LOVE to see the original colors sold here (using the 0.5mm lead).

Such a comfortable pencil to write with!
It may be on the cheap side of the Pentel scale, but the grip on the graphite is very tight, and the weight and balance of the pencil is so perfect that I love writing with this pencil for long writing sessions. I carry this pencil every day since I got it a few months ago. A solid writing tool that is better balanced than many of he other mechanical pencils I own.
