I now love B lead
I tried using H lead but it marks too light and makes a very scratchy noise that was just grating on my nerves. The B lead is soft, writes super smoothly, and it shows up well and has not broken once. I will be purchasing B lead from now on.

Finally Found the Lead Refill I Want!

I now love B lead

Exactly what I needed for a great price and delivered to me free
I have 2 Bic mechanical pencils I bought from Staples in 1992. I ran out of lead so I could either buy new pencils or lead. I purchased a tube with 12 refill leads for $1.49 online. It was delivered "free" to my house sooner than listed in the confirmation notice. Overall, I think this was a fantastic deal since it would have cost me more than $1.49 to drive to Staples...
