More convenient and sturdy than others
0.9mm is sturdy tip does not break off as easily as 0.7mm and I simply cannot write anything with 0.5mm. Soft lead but lines/letters are fine enough for my handwriting.

My go-to pencil.
I'm a career carpenter and for anything other than rough work this particular mechanical pencil is my constant companion. Tough .9mm lead never needs sharpening and rarely breaks each pencil lasts and lasts much better than a #2.

But they are to pricey compared to the more basic options. Just makes more sense to go through more of the cheaper ones. Then when someone barrow it with no return or get lost it no big deal.

Excellent pencils...especially the .9mm lead
I love these for the wood shop. The .9mm lead is tough enough for lots of marking.
Cannot find eraser refills. No one seems to make a 6mm diameter eraser. WHY WHY WHY?

Can't buy eraser refills
Love the pencils. However, I found individual lead refill packs, but cannot find any packs of just eraser refills. They only sell the erasers with new pencils. This is a complaint of a lot of customers and BIC has yet to fix the issue.
