It doesn't work now.
Since I got a new IMac this year I cannot get my Brother hooked up to work addressing addresses.

QL-500 excellent printer
I have had the QL-500 for several years and it is a very dependable printer. I don’t print a lot of labels, but enough to give it a workout. It’s print is very clear, it never jams, and the Windows app is easy to use

My favorite printer

17 Years?
When my label printer of 17 years wouldn't work, I figured I was lucky to have had it work flawlessly for so many years. I was distraught to think I would have to replace it with some "newest and greatest" replacement model. When I saw the exact same model I rejoiced and bought it immediately (I still have supplies I won't have to trash). I am so grateful to Brother ...

I like it but it could be better
Could be an open format where emails, passwords, indexes could be kept not just the limited address format

What's With The Manual Label Cutting?
I owned a QL570 which automatically cut each label. It is 15 years later and this machine has gone technologically backward. It took me awhile to figure out what was going on.

A must-have!
This compact Brother Desktop Label printer (QL500) is so convenient. I can input the addresses (and more) of all my contacts so that when I need to print a label it takes 2 seconds. Stores phone numbers fax numbers emails and more. Definitely a necessary convenience!

Great printer but no software support
P-Touch 5.1 crashes on save file with Mac OS X Catalina.
Also there is no way to choose DK-1201 rolls or any other DK roll that I can see in P-Touch

Very versatile
I love the flexibility to print different size fonts and images all on a single label. Very handy. I looked at a lot of label printers and very few had these features and at such a reasonable price. Very happy with it.

Great Label Maker!
I bought this recently to replace the same model I have had for many years. I needed the latest software to load to my new Windows 10 tower. It works great and can use all my previously saved label files.

The Best!
Have been using Brothers printer's for over 2 years. At my home home and now in my RV. Simple easy to use. Labels last forever. Would highly recommend.
