Who beat the HELL out of these pencils?
This batch of pencils are the worst! I have been buying this particular brand of pencil for about 40 years. The last 2 batches and most definitely this last batch are a freaking nightmare! Every time you sharpen them the graphite literally falls out or snaps as soon as you write! You end up grinding the pencil to a nub in about an hour, almost every pencil was thrown aw...

Best pencil to write with
I love the Mirado Black Warrior Pencils. As an adult I think they are the best pencils to write with and the lead last longer than most.

I wanted dark pencils for Sudoku.
Paper Mate no longer makes a #1 pencil. Others do but they are not as dark. My last two Paper Mate Mirado pencils are down to nubs. These #2 pencils don't cut it.

mirado warrior pencil
Originally I received a pencil with NO lead, when I called I expected to receive product at least in good condition. What I got was 2 pencils both cracked from eraser to the other end. Again, since papermate sent this product production to Mexico, they have been severely inferior to the pencils made in America a few years ago.

Black Warrior Pencils
I definitely have preferences with my writing instruments. These pencils have a smooth, consistent lead that writes well on various types of paper. The heft of the pencil feels great, not too light. The only pencils I purchase!!
