It worked fine for what I needed.
I bought this last summer with the dermal saw and love them both.

Did not get to use it once
I have another dremel so was aware this mandrel is tricky, but I have always been able to get it to work - this time the screw would not go in all the way, I removed the screw, removed the disk, then installed the screw again - this time it stopped half way and did not come out - just spins - arghh

Totally inadequate (if I am using it properly...)
First time I have used this mandrel with a cutting tool. I cannot even get the tiny screw to tighten enough to keep the wheel from slipping around the mandrel... The luster is dimming on my Dremel tool

402 bit
the 402 screw top bit that comes with the machine, does not fit the cutting wheels 409 and also the larger ones that i bought! The middle hole is too small and I have to take time to enlarge the hole to fit the bit, while having a few break while enlarging. I use the v shaped grinder and screw top bits to enlarge the hole.

Stuck screw.
I’m so frustrated. I just spent the last 45 minutes trying to first unscrew and then re-screw (with a cutting wheel attached) this mandrel. It was very difficult in the beginning - I had to use a clamp in order the crest enough grip for it to turn. Then when I tried to screw it back it, it got stuck. Worked for me
I've used these for years when I need to cut precisely. I put on a fine cut-off wheel and use it to cut sheet brass for guitar parts. The abrasive wheels are delicate and break easily, so a light touch is needed. It does a job that no other tool seems to tackle.

SpeedClic Mandrel!
What can you say? It works perfect if you know how to use it, saves time, is simpler, allows you to be more time efficient, get more done, don't need a screwdriver, etc. Not that you truly need it, but it's nice to have!

Can be stripped during use
It seems that the biggest problem I have with mandrills is that they stick out slightly from most of the bits. This can overtime wear down the metal to the point that the screw can't be used. Also I wish they had built in washers

Screw snapped BEFORE first use.
I received a Dremel for Christmas, and intended to use the cutting wheel for my first project. Had some minor trouble unscrewing the slotted screw from the mandrel, but the real problem came in trying to retighten the screw with the cutting head. Erghh
I absolutely love my Dremel tools. I don’t think I can live without them!! The mandrels like these with the tiny screws are kind of a pain to work with. This would be the only thing I would like to see made less cumbersome.

Little screw
I got this tool with my kit but didn’t know what was attached to it to make it work. I also didn’t know how to make it work since there was no instructions on it.

It does it's job
They do what they are supposed too but Ive always wanted a couple washers on it because sometimes the cutting wheel breaks off right there

Screw issues
Brought a dremel set like years ago and finally got a chance to try out some accessories and guess what? The Mandrel attactment for the cutting wheels is defected with same problem like others, it has a bad screw that wont unscrew so can't try or use the cutting wheels

Screw broke in the mandrel
Third time using my Dremel (4000 kit), first time using the 402 mandrel with a cutting wheel. I was cutting off a strip of aluminum carpet threshold to length when the screw head broke off and went flying. The cutting wheel fell off and I was left with a half cut strip of carpet threshold.
