Nice pencils
I bought these #1 pencils to use for crossword puzzles because I thought they would be darker than #2 pencils. They were not. Still they are nice pencils.

Nice pencils
I bought these #1 pencils to use for crossword puzzles because I thought they would be darker than #2 pencils. They were not. Still they are nice pencils.

Product excellent price varies by method of purchase.
In store online and phone price all diffent prices. Insist with staff for the lowest of the three quoted prices that vary by over $2 for the same item.

Good to find
I like soft lead for some things not just crossword puzzles and sodoku and these are what I wanted. Hard to find #1 lead these days.

Good pencils
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the pencils a lot. The lead doesn't break easier. I like to put pressure when writing. I usually go through a lot of pencils. Very good product. They are regular pencils nothing special about them.

Write beautifully!

Fine
These pencils are fine for most work. However I was hoping for the lead to be a little softer. Wanted them for crossword puzzles and old eyes. They may be a bit softer than regular #2 but not as soft as I had hoped. Need a pencil somewhere between a #2 and the smearing drawing pencils. Still searching. But these are fine as described and arrived on time.

Wood pencil
What can you say. A wood pencil with #1 soft lead is a #1 wood pencil with soft lead. How about great just what I was looking for.

soft lead
great pencil for marking . leaves a line but does not damage what your marking . In my case wood leaves a strong line without a dent in the wood as harder lead does .

Staples: No. 1 with No. 1 pencils
I like soft lead pencils but one cannot find No. 1 pencils in many stores. As I have done in the past—how could we have used up three boxes of pencils in three years!—I ordered them from Staples. Simply done—at my desk via computer—and arrived in a very timely manner. Thanks Staples. Lee Stroud
