USB Type A; not USB Type C. No Adapter Included.
Didn't realize this came with USB Type A. The description says USB 3.2 Gen 1 (which was available in both Type A and Type C) and I assumed it was USB-C. Well, it's not Type C, and now I have buy an adapter.

Not an easy install on MAC
The Drive seems to work fine but the install on a MAC has issues. Not clean at all. I skipped the final steps as I couldn't get the extensions to install. Appears to work fine with Timemachine so far

WD My Book
I have 5 My Book external hard drives and this my 6th and 7th! I love them. I have had them for many many years and they are very reliable and easy to use. Price is great and I get good service too.

My Book for DISH movie transfers if Hopper's full.
I had an Elements, trying a My Book this time, since it was a free upgrade. I'm not sure if there appears to be a difference, but DISH movies are fine with the transfer for external storage. The DISH Hopper holds 7 TB. It's too bad there aren't any 7 TB external hard drives. They seem to be 6 and 8 TB.

A lot of memory, but very flawed
I’ve transferred movies from my receiver to the hard drive and some of them disappeared completely after the transfer, and others don’t show when viewed alphabetically. I can see up to titles that begin with “M”. If I view by “Recorded Date” I am able to see some that are further down on the alphabet. Whisper quiet performance
Of the WD My Book drives I own all the way from 1.5TB up to this one, this is the quietest drive of the whole lot. I think they must have upgraded the vibration protection as it is dufficult to tell if it is running at all.

Great
Software included froze at installation. Had to reformat drive right away as it was preventing windows from starting somehow. After that it works great!

Not an equivalent replacement for unsupported prod
It is the not the same product that I bought it to replace because you will no longer support the old MY cloud. It might be a nice backup device but the other was online to all of my computerss

Old sw destroys PC
The old software included on the HD destroyed my PC, a problem that could easily have been avoided by telling customers to download the software from WD's website.

start up instructions and equipment quality
It needs to make some improvement. I guess
It required clear instructions for how to download and than set it up.
It needs to make sure that it has a light to make sure it is working.
