Drive failed as soon as the warranty expired
I purchased a 4TB My Passport a few years ago and it worked fairly well in the first year or two of backing up photos and such, but as soon as the warranty expired in January of this year, the drive started having major issues. SMART tests failed, data transfers would hang, everything that could go wrong did go wrong. If you are thinking of purchasing one of these drive...

Owned for three weeks, Working fine so far.
Device is working well so far. Only used to backup files on notebooks so far.
