Not a pleasant experience
The Passport did not work when I received it. Had to be returned, which has taken weeks. Still awaiting a replacement. Very frustrating!

Not as good as expected
Had a harrowing experience while using the WD 4TB My Passport Ultra Portable HDD. First, there's a WD Discovery app which I installed thinking it's going to help. To anyone who is buying this, please don't install this app. It asks to share app data which if we deny, doesn't install the app. You may check this in related posts in other subreddits. Such a scam. We have identified a firmware issue that presents itself in very limited situations and can cause SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD V2, SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD V2, and WD My Passport SSD products to unexpectedly disconnect from a computer. If you are using a Mac computer then the drive needs to be formatted in the HFS+J file system for operation. Please refer the below link in order to reformat the drive for MacOS to HFS+J file system. Ease of purchase and use.
Buying direct is so much better and easier than trying to find what I need in a store. Everything I needed was included. Easy to use.
