Terrible unit

Solid
My last external HD wasn't SSD and died because too much travel and josling. This one is solid. Still backing it up 3 ways to Sunday but think this one will last for a while. And I love the small size!

Excellent compact and speedy drive.
works great super fast, compact and so far very reliable. I like that it can also connect direct to the iPhone for proves recoding option.

Great if you like to lose everything
The worst ssd portable hard drive on the market. Lost all my data while on an international video production. Well known corruption issues (google it). Zero customer support. Their latest firmware update made the problem far, far worse. Now I can't even open my hard drive on my computer. Can't get their customer support team to issue me a new hard drive. Great Performance in a Compact Package
This is a wonderful portable storage device. I wanted a USB3 external drive with fast copy speed and this drive delivers: I can copy large files at 650 MB/sec from my internal NVMe with the SanDisk Extreme as compared to about 145 MB/sec for my old mechanical HD. Good SSD
Love that ssd, not that fast on apple devices but still fast enough for me. Serves its purpose well. Have it around a month, so far no issues yet) and i hope won’t happen any.

Did not work well with MacBook M2 Pro
I bought it to be the Time Machine backup on my MacBook Pro with M2 Pro chip. It had issues mounting right away. I got it hooked up and it managed to perform one backup. The next day it wouldn't mount at all. Kept giving me issues. The laptop could see it, but it could not mount it. Train wreck
This SSD has crashed twice since I got it, which means I need to spend all day downloading gigs of information from the Internet. Not happy.

Easy to use, works fine.
Does exactly what it needs to do, no extra steps, no proprietary software. Plug in and go, makes a fine high speed backup drive to grab in an emergency.
