Fragile. Stopped working after first drop.
My cat knocked it off my desk (height of 76cm). Now I cannot access any of the data. This is not a rugged harddrive. Don't waste your money on this product.

Good hard drive
Work great, rugged and solid it is the second one I bought and I am always happy with this product.
The only downside is this is a bit big compare to others companies however it is rugged so the toughness overweigh the size for me.

Does not come with USB-C to USB-A cable

Truly Rugged
Perfect for use with a MacBook on the road. I partitioned it so it can be used for Time Machine and for local storage as needed. These truly are rugged. I have another that dates back to 2008 and it is still working. If you have to sneakernet a lot of large media files, this is much more durable than the standard portable hard disk.

Disappointed
Couldn’t get it to save stuff on my laptop or even from my iPad. Very frustrating and no instructions or anything provided. Returned and took me 8 days to be credited on credit card.

Nice design but faulty PC USB-C cable
Overall am happy with the Rugged device, however, the USB-C cable for PC that came with it does not fit. Confirmed through online support with Staples that it was a faulty cable after attempts to connect. Had to order a separate USB-C cable. Kacie 2rb rugged
So fare its the best I've purchased. Being a state licensed firearm instructor I have 1000's of students that I must keep records of for years. I've dropped it several times and it keeps on going. With other one before I've dropped and lost years of records. I recommend this external to everyone.

Backup is easy and can be automatic
Haven't tried to retrieve anything from it but certainly is easy to back up.
