some concerns, cheap volume storage, uses exFAT system
on plus side, files are unfragmented when written , on minus side, drive is a bit noisy and heats up after an hour +/- of constant read/write

Beware: NOT USB 3.0!
Beware: NOT USB 3.0! The jack that connects with your computer is a USB 2.0 jack (the square one). I appreciate the no hassle return policy (saved me big time!). The information provided on the Staples site indicated that it was USB 3.0 Thunderbolt, but it isn't. Maybe it is the manufacturer that is the source of the misinformation.

Dependable backup hard drive
I use bought this hard drive for an external backup, and have used Seagate backups for many years successfully. Installation is easy and it is working without problems.
