We had an original iPad Pro 9.7 that we gave to my elderly dad. I wanted him to have an Apple Pencil to make it easier to use colouring apps. We quickly found that the only stylus that would work is to find an original first generation Apple Pencil. I was able to order and pick up from my local Staples. Almost impossible to find elsewhere. He’s very pleased!!!!

Old stock - with dead battery. Dead on arrival
Bought this pen on 2025-09-15. Tried for hours to make it work, to no avail.
After bit of research, I found out Staples sold me OLD inventory. Brand new box sealed... But has been sitting in the warehouse for 4 years and 5 months. (Apple says warranty started on April 2021, and expired on april 2022). Any Lithium battery discharged for so many years is permanently d...

Not compatible with iPad 5th generation
Bought this because staples says that it’s compatible with the 5 generation iPad but it’s not.
