Brand Name Reliability
It pays to go with a known brand. I had purchased what I thought would be a good deal only to discover that you do indeed get what you pay for when that "deal" malfunctioned within minutes of transferring data. So, back it went and I purchased the Toshiba and it has preformed flawlessly from the very start. Having said that, I do back up my images three ways now along w...

50/50 chance of a decent drive.
I bought two of these drives. One of them is working as expected, the other one stopped working properly just a couple months after the purchase. I tried a powered USB port in case it was a power issue, but now it not even showing up for a few minutes on my computer. I used the other one today and it worked properly.

50/50 chance of a decent drive.
