The Zebra SUPR-DS81E000E-00 is a high-performance PowerCap super-capacitor battery pack designed specifically for the DS8100 Series cordless scanners, including the DS8178 model. Unlike traditional batteries, this capacitor-based unit enables ultra-fast charging and extended scan capability, delivering approximately 2,000 scans on a full charge. Ideal for high-demand retail or healthcare environments, it charges to 70% in just 2 minutes and reaches full charge in about 30 minutes via a USB power source. Designed for longevity, the PowerCap offers virtually unlimited charge cycles and does not degrade over time like lithium-ion batteries. It is also easily identifiable by its green label stripe and requires firmware version CAACXS00-004-R00 or higher for compatibility.
