I love this desk. It looks great and fits in my small space nicely. It took us 6 hours to put together. It's not hard, just tedious! The bottom file drawer had us stumped until we figured out the sliding mechanism which you need to take apart to secure to sides of the drawer. For the price, I am very happy!

This is nice little desk. It's sturdy and it looks great. But prepare yourself for beaucoup assembly. Emptying the box leaves you with a pile of oddly-shaped, giant wooden Jenga blocks, 24 various bags of shrink-wrapped fasteners, and a box of assorted hardware. I suspected challenging assembly at the store when they wheeled out a pancake thin box that weighted 195 lbs. The instruction manual is the size of a high-school yearbook. The first 30 pages describe the various screws, wood dowels, cam bolts and connectors you'll be spending the next few days getting to know. The next 30 pages are step-by-step instructions for the actual assembly, which could have easily been 100 pages, but midway through they start combining three or four steps per page. The accompanying illustrations are done very well, but the overall manual is clearly the result of permitting engineers to publish documents unsupervised. The only real quality issue I encountered was that the drawer tracks wouldn't separate apart as indicated in order mount on the drawer sides. I had to forcibly pry the pieces off and rigged up the mechanism to open and close fairly well. But at that point, my concern over suicidal thoughts outweighed my desire to have a properly closing drawer. If you are retired, take pleasure in working with your hands, have extra vacation days you're looking to fill, or simply enjoy mysteries or solving puzzles, then this is a project for you. Maybe it's good to occasionally drop out of life for a while and do something like this. But I think I missed one of my kids' birthdays.

I needed a desk for a smaller space, but one with adequate work space. This desk was an excellent choice. Even though I assembled the desk by myself, it would have been a lot easier with a second person. After the corner piece was attached to the desk, it was extremely difficult (almost impossible) to move when attaching cords for computer, etc. The door unit where the computer tower is stored may not be deep enough. Plus I had to cut out at the top of the back of the tower cabinet for cords in order to attach cords and for the tower to fit. The precut hole was at the bottom. The is no keyboard tray and the desk is too high for typing, in my opinion.

    When I got the package, I took everything out and layed the pieces all over the room. Then, following the instructions, I started. I only messed up once, but I walked away from it and when I came back, I correected what I had done and finished the project. The only time I needed two more hands was to put the drawers in. The only suggestion I have is where the desk is heavy to move, I would put it together right where you intend to keep it, especially if this is a solo job. But I love the desk. Perfect desk for my needs.

    This desk is very nice looking and sturdy. Assembling is a long process and like never ending job. But once finished the product looks very good. An Electric screw driver /Driller is quite useful. Do not know why there are no any spare screws.

        First, whoever answers these questions needs to learn to pay attention to details so they can properly answer the question that is being asked. I wanted to know how wide the compartment with the door on the left side of the desk is (not the entire desk, just the area with the door where a desktop CPU would go). It is not helpful to have someone respond that the desk is 58" wide. I already know the complete dimensions of the desk since they are stated in the product description on the website.
