I had been searching for a office desk for three months. I wanted something that was economical, but of a decent quality. I was able to find both with this desk. This is an excellent desk for the price, and I am very pleased with my purchase. My daughter and I put it together and it is quite sturdy. The desk also has enough room for all "My Stuff", as my daughter calls my things, with lots of desk top space for reading and writing along with my computer. The shelf for my books and the file drawer are an added plus. I am one satisfied customer. The Staples delivery time was excellent also. I ordered the desk on a Wednesday, June 20, 2012 after 06:00 pm and I received it by 10:30 am on Friday, June 22, 2012.

Nice, quality desk. Takes a while to set up, but good directions. Beautiful light oak and grey marble top. It compliments any décor. It is perfect height for computer. Has a handy shelf for storage of books, etc. Wonderful drawer for hanging files. Definitely worth the money, and would buy again in a heartbeat. Now we are looking forward to purchasing more matching items of this design. Thanks Sauder for a quality item!

I was initially looking at desks in the $500 range when I came across this one. It's perfect for my needs. I wanted an L desk with a lot of desktop space as I work from home 1-2 times per week and like to spread out my papers as needed.

The box looks unassuming when you get it, but the construction is very solid, and the desktop itself is a very durable laminate. The one file drawer is perfect for my storage needs, and the shelf above it is perfect for storing basic office supplies. The underneath shelf is also useful storage. There is plenty of legroom, and I like that it doesn't have a keyboard tray. I'm 6'1", so I like to stretch out when I'm working.

Assembly was tricky and took about two and a half hours. You definitely need a second person, and once it's put together, it helps to have a third person hold the corner side when you move it. I strongly suggest using a drill as assembly would have taken much longer had I used a screwdriver. The file drawer is also tricky to get completely straight, and I've had to make several adjustments.

Overall, if you're looking for a no-frills, very solid desk with a lot of room, this one is perfect.

  It would not be recommended. The warranty information from the manufacturers web site states:
