Excellent purchase

I bought this desk after a couple of weeks of searching for a solution for my limited home office space. I bought it initially because the cherry finish matches my other pieces. I would buy it again because of the quality construction and the easy, though time-consuming, assembly. All of the pieces and parts of this product were very well marked, making assembly much less complicated. However, the quality of the construction requires a lot more detail work to create the product and it did take 6 hours to complete by myself. Unlike other kinds of products I've purchased and assembled, this one went together without any hitches.....all the parts went where they were supposed to with ease. The piece looks excellent in my office space and I am very confident it will last a long time.

This is an adequate everyday normal type of desk, but it is not a computer desk. It does not have a keyboard tray or any type of entries for cords. The middle pencil drawer is in place of a tray and seemed a little flimsy. The top, sides and cabinet door are very sturdy and extremely heavy. The door to the cabinet is solid and of quality construction. The top black inlay is also nice. It takes 2 people to set this thing up. I could barely even lift the top part by myself. Be prepared to spend several hours to assemble; add an hour if you are alone. I finally decided to return this because it's not a true computer desk and because the color is more reddish than it appears and did not match any of my furniture.

Instructions were easy to follow and the product is sturdy. The step by step instructions with pictures really helped with assembly. All the parts were labeled and every screw and every nut accounted for (even had a few extra). It was time consuming to assemble but the finish product was worth the time and effort it took to put together. I had been looking for a desk (not a computer desk) for quite some time and was really elated when I came across this desk in the Staples weekly ad and the price was right.

This is a nice looking desk, but is typical of a particle board desk. It isn't the strongest material. I am pretty handy, but after laying out all pieces in order and making sure everything was there, it took me SEVEN (7) hours over the course of two days to put this together! The directions were very good except the drawer tracks were a little hard to figure out unless you kept them in order. That was the hardest part, putting the drawers together. It is a very heavy desk. But in the end it looks very nice and serves its purpose. I hope it lasts.
