Q: I've had this sharpener for a while, but I think some lead broke off of one of my pencils and is blocking part of the sharpener on the inside. I've tried removing it with a needle tool but can't see the blockage. Is there a good way to take this sharpener apart so that I can clear the sharpener? Asked on 2/5/2012 by Erin from Seattle Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: You could try using a small brush to clean the inside of the pencil sharpener. If this does not help, I believe this may be a question that the manufacturer will have to research further. Please feel free to contact Staples Brand Products Group at 1-800-425-0049. Q: This product has an AC/DC adaptor. Does that mean it can function for a period of time away from a plug-in? Asked on 1/19/2010 by Paula from Kankakee IL Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: No, it can not. We use the basic No. 2 pencil. If I have to sharpen several or sharpen a brand new pencil, it is a little sluggish. Also, it struggles to sharpen pencils that have that special foil paper (holiday pencils). Answered on 1/26/2010 by mlb1 from Laurinburg, NC
Q: I purchased the Staples Electric Pencil Sharpener in Jan 2009 and have struggled with it the whole time. It will not sharpen a pencil straight: half of the point is wood! What is your return policy for this product? Thanks Asked on 10/11/2009 by Richard from Phoenix, AZ Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: sharpen on one side then turn, sharpen opposite side. You'll notice a small improvement. Answered on 10/27/2009 by Katooshka from fairfax, va A: This happens sometimes. I just turn the pencil as it is being sharpened. I had so much trouble with other sharpeners that this wasn't such a big deal. At least it isn't eating all my pencils. Answered on 12/3/2009 by Grandma from Smyrna, Tn A: try to slowly spin the pencil while sharpening and don't push too hard when placing the pencil in the sharpener. Answered on 1/15/2010 by K from PA
