Q: Am I correct that you cannot actually SEE what date you are setting your stamper on?? The date you are setting is apparently up underneath the ink pad, and it is by trial and error that you get it set to the date you want? Some answers to other customer questions are incorrect--this does NOT come with instructions and it does NOT come ready to use. You have to install the ink. After you figure out how to get it out of the little plastic holder it came in! No wonder it was such a good deal. GRRR. Asked on 1/10/2013 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: I can understand your frustration and cannot explain why there would be no instructions with this product to install the ink cartridges or to set the date. According to a similar product question that is answered on the website, to set the date you would depress the top and this brings the stamping row into view. then adjust the wheels for the correct date. There were numerous questions regarding the lack of instructions for this product, mostly regarding installing the ink pads, but please keep in mind, Staples has an extremely lenient "no-time limit" return policy for office supplies. Their return policy for office supplies is as follows: "Office Supplies No matter when you made your purchase, you can return office supplies to us for a full refund, including Staples® brand office products." Q: How do you set the date? Why does this not come with instructions? Asked on 7/19/2012 by Frustrated. Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Set the date by depressing the top. This rotates the stamping row into view, do a practice stamp to see how this rotation works. Use the small toothy edged wheels to set the month, day and year to the date you wish to stamp. Everyday change the day, month and maybe year to keep the desired date. Answered on 7/21/2012 by Community Answer from None
Q: Just bought this stamp - no instructions in or on the package. It came with two ink pads (one appears to be a dry replacement pad. One appears to be ready to use.)How do I put the pad in the machine? Asked on 5/9/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The ink pad is visible from the side of the stamp - you can see the edges (about 1/4" by 1.25") Press in on one side of the rectangle until it pops loose. Then press the stamp down just a little against a desk to relieve the pressure from the ink pad. The pad should slide out freely at that point. Answered on 5/14/2012 by Liz C from Staples
