Okay, first off call and PRICE MATCH! I did, and I paid half BEFORE I used my ink recycling rewards.

I don't usually write reviews but this one warrants it. I have owned this for nearly a year now for my classroom usually stapling 20 sets of homework each week at 5 pages a piece. However, for the last 3 days a co-worker and I stapled 3400 printed books for our entire grade. Each book ranged from 4-6 sheets of paper folded in half, and got 3 staples a piece. This stapler did not jam once. It also stapled as fast as I could move the book in place. I did not have to wait for any mechanism to clear, and it did not snag or 'cling' to the used staples.

Yes this unit is loud, but I believe it's because it is so powerful. My co-worker has a commercial one from a different brand (it literally has 'commercial' stamped on the side) and I can barely hear it compared to mine. The first time she heard mine, she jumped. But with hers, she had to wait for the stapling arm to get out of the way before she could move the book. If she pulled it too soon the staple would snag and the entire stapler would slide with the book. Waiting that extra 1/2 second never bothered her before. But by the 3rd day of stapling...it became a hindrance.

I can live with the sound if it means it will get the job done fast AND hassle free.

My only complaint is that it does NOT use standard staples. It HAS to be PowerCrown staples and they are not sold in my local Staples store. (They only sell Swingline brand staples)

As for the suction cup feet, yes they do jump if it is placed on wood or another porous surface. But a CLEAN counter top, or another smooth surface, will allow the feet to hold like a champ.

Loved it until it quit sensing presence of something to staple. Loud!

My old stapler broke, so I needed a replacement. I sometimes have stacks of papers that need stapling and my other one just couldn't handle it, so I thought I'd go high-powered. I really like this stapler. It's not as loud as I believe others have stated in previous reviews, but I can see how it can scare someone, especially if they are not aware it's going to happen. It has, so far, stapled large volumes of paper at once and I have not had any problems with jamming. My only complaint (if you want to call it that) is that it is a little on the large size. It takes up a bit of real estate on my desk. Overall, I'm very happy with it!

Big stapler that when you use it the first time will make you jump out of your chair in fright! It sounds like a gun shot. In our open office, I yell "fire in the hole" so I don't scare others when I use this stapler. I will be purchasing something quieter!

Works for what I need but wish it were a little quieter. What is important is that for the price it does the large stapling jobs and that when it comes down to it getting the job done is more important than the sound.

Q:
The instruction were thrown away and we never did learn how to expand for more that 25 pages. How do we staple more than 25 pages? Or where can we get the instructions for this product.

  A:
  To staple more pages you will have to take the spacer out & you will also have to use the 3/8" staples rather that the 1/4" ones. The 3/8" staples can staple 25-45 sheets, where the 1/4" staples can staple 1-25 sheets. When loading the stapler the spacer is in the unit, you simply take it out & then you can store it under the unit in the storage space available.
  Please note the following addition features and benefits:
  Uses B8 Powercrown staples (STCRP21151/4 AND STCR 2115 3/8)
  Staples up to 45 sheets of paper
  Packaged with 5,000 1/4" staples

  It's not the width of the staple, it's the depth; that is, measure either of the two legs, NOT the distance between the two legs.
