Bought this as a charger for an iPod Touch 3rd Generation. When I compared it to all of the Apple "products," it was a much better bargain and did the same function. Plus, you can charge two devices at one time, which is great for our household of electronic users.

I needed a dual port usb charger in a pinch and did not have the benefit of the internet (variety).

It works well enough. It is used everyday to charge the many devices lying around.

Now that I have had time to do some research, I find this product grossly overpriced.

To make this item worth the price paid, it needs to output 2.1va to each port. As it is, it outputs 1A on one port and splits to .5A when two devices are plugged in at once.
Which is rather useless in this era of iPods and smartphones. Go to your local discount store and find one for less.

Don't waste your money until Staples offers a better, competitive product.

    I tossed this into my toilet kit. When traveling, I plug it into an outlet in the bathroom and use it to charge my Jawbone Icon earpiece and my Fitbit One. I only wish the prongs could fold down into the unit, but other than that I am very happy with it. It's small and easy and travels well.
