How McAfee Endpoint Protection Works

McAfee Endpoint Protection keeps computers safe with its comprehensive security features. Just install McAfee Endpoint Protection client software on each computer you want to protect. Once installation is complete, the computer is automatically added to your account. The software runs in the background with automatic updates that protect your computer from threats. There's no need to interact with the software unless you want to manually scan for threats.

Why McAfee?

  • Comprehensive protection
As soon as your computer is turned on until it is turned off, McAfee Endpoint Protection monitors all system-related activities and potential threats.
  • Instant virus detection
Whenever a virus is detected, all attempts are made to clean and quarantine the threat to avoid further damage.
  • Customized threat response
Configure how you want McAfee to respond to potential threats and suspicious activity.
  • Safety notifications for the web
Minimize exposure to dangerous websites with McAfee's system of color-coded icons and safety reports.
  • Automatic updates
Regular, behind-the-scenes updates ensure your computer has the most up-to-date protection.
  • Early warning system & response
McAfee Labs accesses the latest information about threats and outbreaks and immediately updates your computer for cutting-edge protection.

McAfee is comprehensive security software that keeps your computer protected.

  • McAfee owns and manages its own datacenters and uses its own security solutions to ensure your data is protected and segregated from other customers.
  • You're guaranteed to have access to all of the McAfee Security solutions at least 99.9%.
  • McAfee Security solutions work seamlessly with third‐party, on-premises solutions.

Note: Do not delete the temp folder in your program's directory to avoid update failures. If the folder is mistakenly deleted, immediately restart your computer to re-create the folder automatically, or you can manually create a Temp folder in the Program Files\McAfee\Managed VirusScan folder.
