About this product
These soft, white sterile dressings absorb moderate to large amounts of wound drainage and may help control minor bleeding. Alginate ropes can be used to fill or pack the dead space in a wound. A secondary dressing is needed to hold alginates in place and to protect the wound from outside contaminants. Our version of this popular dressing is designed to keep its form to allow for easy and trauma free removal, while still maintaining a moist wound environment, conducive to wound healing, through its ability to gel upon contact with wound fluids.
