What is a Pocket Folder?
A pocket folder is a folder that features one or more pockets designed to keep documents organized. Also known as a presentation folder, pocket folders can be made from materials such as paper, glossy cardstock, or plastic and feature multiple pockets for maximum storage. They also come in different varieties. Bi-fold folders fold in half down the middle and tri-folds have three panels and two folds.
What Size is a Pocket Folder?
When folded, most pocket folders usually measure 9 x 12 inches. They are designed to hold standard 8.5 x 11 inch sheets of printer paper. For larger documents, there are also legal-sized pocket folders that measure 9 x 14.5 inches, which is perfect for storing standard legal-sized paper.
What Features Can Pocket Folders Offer?
Pocket folders have a variety of handy features. Many pocket or presentation folders include flaps at the top to keep papers from sliding or slipping out of the pockets if the folder is tilted or turned upside down. The majority of them have fasteners that allow users to securely place hole-punched papers between the covers of the folders.
